Rocket attack on US base

About a dozen rockets were fired at the main US base in eastern Afghanistan last night, but caused no casualties, officials said.

The rockets smashed into fields near Khost airport, about 90 miles south of Kabul, said Hayatullah Taniwal, a spokesman for the provincial governor.
