Saddam warning against 'Islamic agenda' of foreign fighters

Saddam Hussein warned supporters resisting the coalition occupation of Iraq not to align themselves too closely with foreign Arab fighters, American officials said today.

The ousted dictator told Iraqi militants that Muslim extremists had a different agenda to the Baath party as they wanted to establish an Islamic state.
