UK pub, restaurant owners summoned for smoking talks

Restaurant and pub chain bosses and other hospitality industry leaders are to be called to talks with the British government on how to protect customers from the effects of passive smoking.

British Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell said she was disappointed at the “tiny” proportion of pubs and restaurants offering no-smoking areas and effective air conditioning.
