Car bomb explodes in Baghdad
A car bomb exploded outside a police station in western Baghdad today, injuring at least four people, witnesses said.
The blast in the Ameriyah district appeared to target the police force’s bureau of criminal investigations. Four people were seen being carried away from the scene.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the area, but the extent of the damage was not immediately clear.
The explosion occurred a day after US officials announced the capture of Iraq’s former leader Saddam Hussein.
