'We got him' - Saddam captured in farmhouse cellar

American forces captured a bearded Saddam Hussein, hiding in a hole in a farmhouse cellar near his hometown of Tikrit, the US military announced today.

The arrest was carried out without a shot fired and was a huge victory for the US-led coalition eight months after the fall of Baghdad.
