Foreigners kidnapped in Iran

Several foreigners have reportedly been kidnapped in Iran, the German Foreign Ministry said today.

Ministry spokeswoman Antje Leendertse provided no immediate details but said the ministry has set up a special task force in the case, she said.

“The German government has information that a kidnapping of foreigners has happened in Iran,” she said.

”There are indications that Germans may be affected.”
