The death toll in this morning's Russian train crash has been put up to 32.

A bomb was planted inside the train's second car, said Major General Nikolai Lityuk of the Emergency Situations Ministry.

It was thought suicide bombers were responsible.

Many of the dead were thrown from the train. Forty-one people were in hospital, eight of them in critical condition.
