British Queen settles 'undercover footman' row

The legal row between the Queen and the Daily Mirror has been settled in the British High Court.

The newspaper has agreed to a permanent injunction banning it from publishing further material obtained by a reporter while working as a palace footman.

The Mirror and journalist Ryan Parry pledged to hand over all unpublished photographs and documents, destroy any draft unpublished stories and not to further syndicate any material already published.

They also agreed not to republish photographs, which first appeared on November 19, of the rooms of Britain's Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

The Mirror is to contribute £25,000 (€35,000) towards the Queen's legal costs.
