Czech plane en route to US in bomb threat

A Czech plane on a flight to New York made an unscheduled landing in Keflavik, Iceland, after the airline received a warning that bomb was on board.

No bomb had been found on the plane, but the search was continuing, Marcela Pickova, a spokeswoman for the state-run Czech Airlines, CSA, said last night.

The OK-050 flight from Prague had 174 passengers on board.

The bomb threat was delivered in an e-mail to the US embassy, which passed it on to the airline in the late afternoon, Pickova said.
