Burning body found in road hedgerow

British police were today investigating the discovery of a burning body on a road in a country village.

The gruesome discovery in Cambridgeshire was reported to police at 11.20am. The body was found on fire in a hedgerow near Cambridge airport.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokeswoman said exact details of the find were unclear, but officers had launched an investigation.

The spokeswoman said: “The force control room was called to reports of a body on fire on High Ditch Lane. Details are very sketchy at this time.”
