Prosecution: 'Maxine Carr's persistent and devious lies'

Maxine Carr told “persistent, devious and detailed lies” to protect Ian Huntley and exclude him from the police inquiry, the Old Bailey in London heard today.

Carr admitted to police she had lied throughout the disappearance of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, prosecutor Richard Latham QC told the murder trial.
