Blair looking forward to new Tory leader

British Prime Minister Tony Blair said today he welcomed the prospect of Michael Howard’s selection as Tory leader, saying it would present voters with a “stark” choice.

Mr Blair said Howard was a “good performer” in the House of Commons and he looked forward to facing his “old adversary”. But he was not worried about the prospect.
