Nth Korea supplies 400 scuds for Middle East: report

South Korea's defence ministry has said in a parliamentary report that North Korea exported about 400 scud missiles to Middle East countries since the mid-1980s.

Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen were the main recipients of Scuds from North Korea, the ministry said.

Ministry spokesperson Kim Ki-Beom stated the report as saying: "Since the middle of the 1980s, North Korea has exported 400-odd scud missiles along with missile-related parts to the Middle East region".

The report did not say how much the communist state earned from the missile exports, but Yonhap news agency estimated the figure to be $110m (€92.30m).
