Korean talks end without agreement

A day after North Korea hinted that it might test an atomic bomb, the North and its southern neighbour ended talks today without agreeing to pursue a negotiated end to the communist state’s nuclear ambitions.

The Koreas have held five high level meetings during which both sides have pledged a peaceful end to the nuclear crisis.
