New compensation deal for air travellers

Air travellers facing delays, cancellations and over-bookings will benefit from new compensation agreed in Brussels today.

Months of negotiations – and complaints from small airlines who say they will be priced out of business – ended with new Europe-wide laws guaranteeing cash payments and other benefits in future.
