US soldier dies in grenade attack

An American soldier was killed in a rocket-propelled grenade attack on a convoy north-east of Baghdad early today.

US Central Command said the infantryman died from wounds received in the attack at 2am in Baqouba, 30 miles from the Iraqi capital.
