Bush to address houses of parliament in Oz
US president George Bush will address a joint sitting of both houses of the Australian parliament later this month during his visit to the capital, Canberra.
Parliament will be recalled from recess to hear Bush’s address on October 23 and will also stay to hear Chinese president Hu Jintao speak on October 24.
Both Bush and Hu are due to visit Australia after attending the APEC summit of regional Asian-Pacific leaders in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 20 and 21.
