German doctor suspected of 76 'mercy killings'

German prosecutors are investigating a 53-year-old doctor suspected of mercy killing in the deaths of 76 cancer patients.

The doctor, who worked at the Paracelsus Clinic near Hanover for 20 years, has had her licence suspended pending results of the investigation, said prosecutor Karl Heinz Dreiocker.
