A former Italian prosecutor pressed ahead today with his challenge to the immunity law which suspended Premier Silvio Berlusconi’s bribery trial, presenting nearly one million signatures for a referendum against the legislation.

Antonio Di Pietro, now an opposition MP, took 130 boxes filled with signed petitions to court officials in Rome for verification.
