Eight die in Egypt tractor crash

Eight schoolgirls were killed and another 12 were injured when a tractor collided with their vehicle in rural Egypt today, police said.

The girls, aged between 14 and 16, had left school for their homes on the back of a pickup truck when the crash occurred near al-Saf, a town 50 miles south of Cairo, two days into the new school year.
