The UN General Assembly passed a resolution demanding that Israel halt threats to expel Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat but also condemning suicide bombings by Palestinians.

The UN General Assembly passed a resolution demanding that Israel halt threats to expel Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat but also condemning suicide bombings by Palestinians.

In the assembly yesterday, 133 member states voted for the resolution, four against and 15 abstained. Opposed were Israel, the US, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.
