Several dead in Russian security HQ blast
Several people were reported to have been killed when a powerful explosion rocked a Russian government security building in Ingushetia, bordering Chechnya, today.
The blast struck the Federal Security Service’s building in the Ingush capital of Magas.
The Federal Security Service, known by its Russian initials FSB and successor to the KGB, had been leading the federal campaign against Chechen rebels.
It recently handed over control to the Interior Ministry.
The ITAR-Tass news agency reported that the explosion resulted in deaths and injuries, but gave no further details.
