Gatwick terminal evacuated

Gatwick Airport was being evacuated tonight after a suspect vehicle was being investigated by explosives experts.

The alert sparked by the vehicle which was abandoned, according to police. It meant the South Terminal at the airport was evacuated.

Parts of the A23 road in and out of Gatwick have been closed as bomb disposal experts investigate.
