President's fury at human rights groups
Colombia’s President Alvaro Uribe says human rights groups that have criticised his crackdown on left-wing rebels are cowards and terrorist sympathisers.
Uribe’s sharp words, delivered during a speech at a military ceremony in the capital Bogota, came on the same day a group of 80 human rights groups and other non-governmental organisations released a report critical of Uribe’s crackdown.
