Man in court charged with raping teenager

A man has appeared in court charged with raping a teenage girl he allegedly met through text messaging.

The 15-year-old girl, from Hindley near Wigan, Greater Manchester, UK, said she was attacked after meeting a man she was introduced to by a friend. The friend met the man through an Internet chat service.
