Man starts jail sentence for threatening Pope
A 23-year-old Bosnian man was beginning a six month jail sentence today after he sent an e-mail threatening to kill the Pope during his visit to Croatia.
Almir Abdulah had threatened to kill John Paul “in the name of Allah”, a court in Sarajevo heard. He signed the e-mail, “the Islamic Front of el-Mujahadeen”, but said it was meant to be a joke.
