Brazil's president promises reform

Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio da Silva has spelled out the importance of pension reform and promised interest rates, among the highest in the world, will continue to drop.

In a 10-minute, nationally televised address, Silva justified the constitutional reforms to the government workers’ pension system, formally approved by the chamber of deputies on Wednesday.
