Idi Amin, the brutal former Ugandan dictator, remains in a coma in a Saudi Arabian hospital.

Medical staff said his condition has not changed in recent days. The 80-year-old has been on life-support since July 18.

He was in a coma and was suffering from high blood pressure when he was brought into the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah.

He is also suffering from kidney failure, doctors said.

The former tyrant has lived in exile in Saudi Arabia for years. Human rights groups say as many as 500,000 people were killed during his 1971-1979 reign over Uganda.
