Lightning strikes couple in iron bed

Trying to sleep through a storm wasn’t easy for a Norwegian couple – their cast-iron double bed took a direct hit from a lightning bolt that lit up the bedroom.

Idar Roenningen and companion Charlotte Amundsen, both 28, were kept awake by thunder at their country home 60 miles from Oslo. So, Roenningen unplugged some appliances.
