Gunman kills two fellow estate agents

An estate agent walked into the office where he worked in San Antonio and shot dead two women and critically wounded another, police in Texas said today.

The gunman later committed suicide after crashing his car during a police chase near Temple, 135 miles to the north-east.

“He walked in, approached these three employees, shot them, then ran,” said police spokesman Gabe Trevino at the scene.

The victims, aged 40 and 61, were shot several times, and the 41-year-old injured woman was in a critical condition after being airlifted to hospital.

The suspect fled after the shootings in a black Ford Explorer.

As police cars closed in, the vehicle hit a barrier and came to a stop in a corn field. The man then shot himself in the head, police said.
