Ex-marine due in German court

A former US marine who ran off with 12-year-old Shevaun Pennington is due to appear in court in Germany.

Shevaun was reunited with her parents yesterday after separating from Toby Studabaker, 31, in Germany.

Studabaker is due to appear before a judge in Frankfurt as investigations continue into whether he had committed any offences in Germany and must face a court there, or whether he could be extradited immediately to the UK.

Shevaun was spending time with her family near their home in Lowton, near Leigh, Greater Manchester, after they were reunited yesterday afternoon.

It was the end of a five-day trip around Europe which began after Shevaun, the younger of two sisters, left home to meet Studabaker on Saturday.

The pair then flew to Heathrow and on to Paris before she was reported missing by her parents.
