Palestinians protest at arrests by Gaza security forces

Armed Palestinians have taken to the Gaza streets to protest against the arrest of several activists by Palestinian security forces.

Preventing attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians is now the responsibility of the Palestinian Authority in part of northern Gaza after the Israeli army withdrew. Israelis have repeatedly called for the violent militant groups to be disarmed and dismantled.
