Cannibal jailed for five years

An Indonesian cannibal was jailed for five years today after he dug up the corpse of his 80-year-old neighbour and ate parts of her.

Sumanto, 30, was judged to be sane by the court in the central Javanese town of Purbalingga, 250 miles south-east of the capital Jakarta.
