US special ops soldier killed near Baghdad

A member of a United States special operations force was killed and eight were injured today in a hostile fire incident southwest of Baghdad, the US military said.

A statement from US Central Command said the incident occurred this morning and the names of the dead and wounded were being withheld pending notification of relatives.
