Poll: Most Israelis against strikes

Most Israelis oppose the latest round of air strikes against Palestinian militants, according to a poll published today.

The survey in the Yediot Ahronot newspaper found that 58% of Israelis believe Israel should temporarily halt the killings to give new Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas time to establish himself in his position.
