Powell defends Iraq weapons intelligence

The intelligence that Washington built its arguments for war in Iraq on “is not a figment of somebody’s imagination,” US Secretary of State Colin Powell said.

The Bush administration believes Saddam Hussein had both deadly weapons and programmes to develop them, he said.
