Greece offers free camp sites to EU summit protesters

Tens of thousands of protesters preparing to rally at a European Union summit in northern Greece later this month will get help from an unlikely ally: the Athens government.

Officials today announced plans to provide free camping facilities at the northern port city of Thessaloniki, as well as free transportation and access to city venues to host gatherings and press briefings.
