WHO: SARS outbreak 'over the peak'

The outbreak of the SARS virus is “over its peak” worldwide, a World Health Organisation official said today.

“It is fair to say that the SARS epidemic is over its peak. We can see it globally and we can also see it in China,” said Henk Bekedam, the WHO representative in China. “I think that is very good news.”
