Mudslides kill three in Colombia
Mudslides caused by two days of heavy rains in north west Colombia killed three young girls, authorities said.
The sisters, ages one, five and six, were buried when the mudslides destroyed their house on the outskirts of Medellin, Alejandro Usuga, Medellin’s civil defence chief, said.
Four adults were also injured, Usuga said.
Heavy rains since the beginning of March have left 35 people dead and 59 injured, said Eduardo Jose Gonzalez, director of national disaster prevention.
