Algeria quake effort focus on supplying relief

The United Nations today called off the search for victims of the earthquake in Algeria to concentrate on supplying relief and support to the survivors.

The decision comes three days after the quake, which measured 6.8 on the Richter scale, hit the north African country, claiming at least 1,700 lives.
