Americans back Bush for protection

An overwhelming majority of Americans say they have confidence in the President George Bush’s administration to protect them from terrorism.

In the CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll, eight in 10 Americans said they had confidence in the Bush administration to protect citizens from attacks, with 35% of those polled saying they had a “great deal” of confidence.
