Abbas holds talks with Hammas leaders

Palestinian prime minister Mahmoud Abbas held talks with Hamas leaders today to try to persuade them to stop attacks on Israelis.

Abbas, is also weighing a US proposal that he meets President George Bush in the Gulf state of Qatar, a Palestinian official said.
