Tamil Tigers talk tough with govt

Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tiger rebels will not resume peace talks with the government until they are granted an interim administration status for Tamil-majority areas, a spokesman said today.

“The last six rounds of talks have been mostly a waste of time,” said SP Thamilselvan of the Tigers’ political wing.
