Sri Lankan death toll hits 300

The death toll in Sri Lanka’s floods rose to at least 300 today, the country’s rehabilitation minister said.

“The full extent of tragedy and loss of human lives are unfolding as we are reaching remote areas,” said Jayalath Jayawardene.
