Japan police raid cult facilities

Police raided several facilities and searched two dozen vehicles owned by a cult whose members have riveted Japan as they travel across the country in an all-white caravan, warning the end of the world is near.

Dozens of investigators searched the Pana Wave Laboratory cult’s main facility in Fukui, western Japan, and its dome-shaped shelters at a mountain village north of Tokyo on suspicion the group falsified vehicle registrations, police said.
