WHO lifts Toronto travel ban

Following pressure from the Canadian government, the World Health Organisation today lifted its warning against non-essential travel to Toronto, saying it was satisfied with measures to stop the spread of the deadly Sars virus.

The advice comes into force on Wednesday, Who said, adding that it still considered Toronto to be an “affected area.”
