Killer says he had a pact with God

A South African who said he killed three blacks as part of a pact with God today pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder.

De Wet Kritzinger, 30, shot three blacks on a bus in Pretoria in January 2000.

He said the shooting was not racially motivated.

“I believed that by shooting dead innocent black people on a bus I would obey my promise to God,” he told the Pretoria High Court.

Kritzinger said he did not hate other nations, but he said he hated Jews because he believed they were the descendants of Satan.

“I believe the Western white nations are the chosen people of God,” he said.

A report by three psychiatrists said that Kritzinger was not suffering from any mental disorders and could understand the gravity of his crime.
