A Colombian journalist was shot to death in front of his home after receiving death threats, colleagues said.

A Colombian journalist was shot to death in front of his home after receiving death threats, colleagues said.

Guillermo Bravo Vega, 64, was killed after an argument with two men in front of his home in the city of Neiva, 150 miles south of Bogota, police Colonel Jairo Delgado said.

Bravo covered economic news for several different media outfits.

Colonel Delgado said his name did not appear on a list of threatened journalists, but reporters in the region said he had received death threats as recently as two months ago.
