Adding masks to their normal uniforms, younger secondary school pupils returned to class in Hong Kong today after a month off because of Sars.

All the territory’s schools were shut on March 29 because of the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars), which has killed 133 people in Hong Kong and sickened 1,543. Most primary schools remain closed.
