Hospital workers quarantined with patients
Cut off from worried families and sleeping in their offices, hundreds of medical workers are isolated with their patients as Beijing closes off entire hospitals amid sweeping measures to stop the spread of the Sars virus.
At the People’s Hospital of Peking University – one of two Beijing hospitals sealed off this week – doctors are still treating non-Sars patients, said a nurse contacted there by phone. She said staff members sleep in their offices, and have food and water sent in from outside.
